About

This free culvert assessment training instructs partners on using the National Aquatic Connectivity Collaborative (NACC) protocol to assess road-stream crossings for aquatic organism passage. The effort to merge the North Atlantic Aquatic Connectivity Collaborative (NAACC) with the connectivity work of the Southeast Aquatic Resources Partnership (SARP) is currently underway. This initiative is standardizing field data collection for in-stream barriers at a national level using the NAACC protocol. Participants will need to complete online prerequisites prior to the field training. Details to access the online component will be provided in advance. This training is scheduled for Thursday, October 8, 2026 in the Blacksburg area (location to be determined).
