2026 Bright Futures DiscoverU Career Camp

Thank you for your interest in the Bright Futures Career Exploration Camp! 

The Wellness in Houston Bright Futures Career Exploration Summer Camp is a residential overnight program taking place June 21–26, 2026, on the Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) campus. Designed for motivated youth ages 15–17 (at the time of the camp), this immersive camp introduces students to high‑demand career pathways through hands-on learning, college-level experiences, and industry-led activities. 

Throughout the week, campers will explore AgriTech and Agribusiness, participate in Turner Construction’s sponsored Construction Careers Day, engage in Wellness Wednesday with PVAMU’s College of Nursing, Family and Community Health and School of Public and Allied Health, and dive into Technology & Engineering Day, featuring AI, robotics, cybersecurity, and drone technology. The camp concludes with a certification ceremony celebrating participants’ achievements with. 

Campers enjoy a safe residential experience with supervised housing, meals, field trips and structured evening activities that build confidence, teamwork, and leadership. 

Space is limited to 60 youth. Campers must be residents of the State of Texas, residing in Harris, Fort Bend, Waller, Montgomery, Brazoria, and Galveston counties only

This form serves as a pre-registration to gauge interest and participation. The official registration form will be shared separately through the Texas A&M University/Prairie View A&M University - Programs for Minors registration platform NO LATER THAN May 1st, 2026.
