The Annual August Community Health Fair is a free and family-friendly event hosted by St. James Episcopal Church, designed to bring the Third Ward and Greater Houston community together in the name of wellness and unity.

This year's focus is on:

• Heart Health

• Nutrition and Physical Activity

• Financial Literacy

• Reading & Literacy Engagement

• Free Health Screenings (blood pressure, BMI, glucose, and more)

✨ Featured Vendors:

• St. James Health Ministry – Providing free sports physicals and personalized health education.

• MD Anderson Cancer Center – Hosting interactive health education, workshops for children, and cancer awareness resources.

 Cost

FREE and open to the public – No registration or admission fee required. Registration is free.

By Car:
St. James Episcopal Church is located in Houston’s Third Ward at 3129 Southmore Blvd., between Ennis St. and Sampson St.

• From I-45, take exit 44B for Scott St.

• Turn south on Scott St.

• Turn right onto Southmore Blvd.

• The church will be on your right.
  Free parking is available on-site.

By METRO (Public Transit):

• Use the Purple Line Light Rail and exit at Elgin/Third Ward Station.

• Walk approximately 10 minutes to the church.

• Or use METRO bus routes 25 (Richmond) or 9 (Southmore) with stops nearby.
