About
2026 UNL Virtual Fencing Pitch & Panel Webinar Series
Join Nebraska Extension for three free evening webinars focused on virtual fencing for beef cattle producers. This series brings together researchers, virtual fencing companies, and producers to explore recent research, available products, and experiences using virtual fencing in grazing management. Each evening concludes with a panel discussion.
November 17, 2026 — Research Updates
Hear unbiased findings from virtual fencing (VF) research conducted over the past two to three years. Topics include VF effects on cattle stress responses, using virtual fencing to separate multiple groups in the same pasture, virtual fencing in rangeland grazing, VF for strip grazing and recommended move frequency, as well as an overview of future cost-share programs for NE producers.
November 19, 2026 — Company Product Pitches and App Walkthroughs
Representatives from Halter, Monil, Nofence, and eShepherd (Gallagher) will introduce their products and provide an in-depth look at their platforms and apps.
November 23, 2026 — Producer Perspectives
Hear from early adopters using these virtual fencing systems. Producers will share how the technology has affected their grazing management, including benefits, challenges, what worked, and what they wish they had known before getting started.
Time: Each webinar begins at 7 p.m. Central Standard Time / 6 p.m. Mountain Standard Time.
Cost: Free to attend.
Location and access: This series takes place entirely online. Webinar access instructions will be provided to registered participants.
Hosted by Nebraska Extension, University of Nebraska–Lincoln, with generous support from Halter, Monil, Nofence, and eShepherd (Gallagher).
