  • Explore innovative solutions to improve local access to healthy food
  • Gain knowledge on featured food access topics
  • Draw inspiration from other communities
  • Build connections with leaders and organizations working across the food system

Each roundtable will include a short presentation or presentations and plenty of time for networking.

2026/2027 Roundtable Schedule

  • October 28, 2026 - Cooking Matters: Hear from Sarah Davis, MU Extension, about how innovations with the Cooking Matters program are expanding culinary education across Missouri.
  • January 27, 2027 - Farmers Market Innovations: Hear from Darla Campbell, MU Extension, about a youth farmers market entrepreneurship program in northeast Missouri and Charles Hunter, Boonville Farmers Market, about a locally funded farmers market nutrition program (similar to the state's WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program).
  • April 28 - Project Sustainability: Bring your own story, and hear from others, about how food systems projects are being sustained over time. Discussion may include fundraising and grant writing efforts, staffing, use of volunteers, networking, collaboration, and other strategies to keep efforts moving forward.
