About

Garden ’N Grow is an educational program developed by University of Missouri Extension that blends positive youth development and academic learning with horticulture education. The program encourages the discovery of science and nature through gardening. Students will learn about vegetable gardening, flower gardening, soils, insects and plant health. They will learn how to prepare snacks using produce from the garden. They will end some days with fun outdoor activities like water balloon toss.

The class will meet each morning, Monday, July 20 through Friday, July 24 from 9:00 until 11:00 am at the University of Missouri Extension Adair County Extension Center. The cost is $30 for the week. Snacks will be provided.

    Learn all about insects, pollinators, plants to grow to attract pollinators and net some insects to identify.

    Learn the importance of healthy soil, the proper way to fertilize plants, and learn how to propagate plants.
