Rural Immersion Student Presentations

We would love for you to join us for the closing presentations of the 2026 Rural Immersion Program! 

This June, a group of health professions students from across Missouri — representing pre-medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, physician assistant, and nursing programs — spent four days living and learning in the Northwest Region. Rather than focusing on clinical skills, these students immersed themselves in the social, cultural, and community fabric of rural life. They met with local leaders in business, government, education, healthcare, and natural resources to better understand what it truly means to live and serve in a rural community.

At the presentations, student teams will share their experiences, key takeaways, and reflections — offering a fresh perspective on the strengths, challenges, and opportunities that define rural community health.
