About
Join us for a farm field day at Happy Hollow Farm, LLC. You will have the opportunity to get practical recommendations from Liz Graznak and collaborating partners on how to be good stewards of natural resources and implement practices to grow healthy and safe produce.
You will learn about the laws in the United States that regulate the production of safe and healthy fresh fruits and vegetables. We will talk about the basic principles to identify contamination routes and risks on your farm. You will witness first-hand examples on how the farm minimizes contamination risks to offer safe products to consumers.
You will also learn to identify resource concerns and conservation practices that improve soil, water, animal and plant health, air quality and energy use on a diversified vegetable farm. You will see NRCS-funded EQIP and CSP practices on the ground. You will gain an understanding of the process to apply for technical and financial assistance from NRCS, including the new Regenerative Pilot Program. We will show you additional conservation resources available to you through the Missouri Department of Conservation, local Soil and Water Conservation Districts, and the University of Missouri CRCL project.
