Child care is the workforce of the workforce. If we want to keep the economy thriving, we must ensure that the community has a thriving child care system. MU Extension will feature 3 opportunities to learn more about how child care supports Missouri's economy and how individuals can take action in their communities. 

Description: 

Learn about the various policies that employers can adopt to create more family friendly work places. These policies have the ability to support recruitment and retainment issues experienced by employers. At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize different policies that employers can implement to help support working families.  
  • Identify some examples about how policies have been implemented across Missouri.
  • Understand key Missouri initiatives that are available to help support employers and child care providers.

This class is interactive and involves participating in small and large group discussions.

Audience

This class is open to anyone, but is highly recommended for Child Care Directors, Child Care Educators, Child Care Community Advocates, Employers. Multi-sector groups promote richer conversations.
