Join us for the Chicken Processing Skills Series, a two-part, hands-on set of classes in Pineville, MO. The first class covers home chicken processing basics (foundational steps, equipment, and food-safety practices for processing chicken for home use). The second class, Chicken Cut-Up & Product-Making, focuses on kitchen-based skills to turn whole chicken into convenient, ready-to-cook products; food will be Alpha-gal friendly.
You’re welcome to attend either class as a stand-alone workshop, registration for both is not required.

This hands-on class is designed for anyone who wants to feel confident processing chickens for home use. We’ll walk through how to set up a simple, efficient processing area and explain the “why” behind each step so you can repeat the process safely at home. Expect a practical focus on workflow, essential equipment, and the food-safety habits that make the biggest difference. You’ll also learn humane handling best practices and pick up troubleshooting tips for common issues.

Ready to move beyond whole birds? This hands-on, kitchen-based class focuses on turning whole chickens into convenient, ready-to-use products. Participants will learn practical cut-up and portioning techniques, basic grinding, and simple value-added preparation such as chicken nuggets and broth/stock using frames and bones. You’ll leave with ideas to improve consistency, reduce waste, and make poultry easier to cook, store, and serve at home. Food will be Alpha-gal friendly.
