Growing Your Own Oyster Mushrooms

Skip the uncertainty of mushroom hunting and learn to grow your own fresh oyster mushrooms at home. During this hands-on workshop, Katie Kammler, University of Missouri Extension Horticulture Specialist, will guide participants through the mushroom-growing process, from preparing a grow block to caring for it and harvesting mushrooms. Each participant will leave with a completed oyster mushroom grow block and the knowledge needed for successful home cultivation.

Hand-on class will be held in Meeting Room A at the Progress Sports Complex at the Ste. Genevieve County YMCA at 1300 Progress Parkway, Ste. Genevieve, MO 63670 on Thursday, October 22 at 6 pm. Cost is $30.
