About

Mindfulness Pebbles: is a six-session series that introduces the core principles of mindfulness and provides opportunities for experiencing mindfulness practices.  We explore each principle and practice as a "mindfulness pebble," a small, intentional drop of awareness that can create meaningful ripples throughout daily life.

This series is designed for all experience levels; whether you are new to mindfulness or have an established practice, you are welcome!  All practices can be adapted for comfort and ability.

Session Structure:

  • Explore mindfulness principles related to a specific topic
  • Experience mindfulness practices
  • Reflect on the experiences
  • Discuss ways to integrate mindfulness into everyday life

Session Topics:

  1. BASICS (October 5, 2026): introduction to the basic principles of mindfulness and foundational practices to start directing attention to the present moment.
  2. BREATH (October 12, 2026): exploration of mindful breathing as an anchor for attention.
  3. BODY (October 19, 2026): awareness of body sensations and connections through body scan, mindful eating, and mindful movement.
  4. THOUGHTS (October 26, 2026): exploration of thoughts and how to observe them without getting swept away.
  5. EMOTIONS (November 2, 2026): learn how to notice, name, and make space for emotions with openness and kindness.
  6. PRACTICE (November 9, 2026): plans for continued practicing of mindfulness in daily life.
