About
Join us for 4-H Babysitter Training opportunities in 2026! This week-long course, Monday thru Friday from 9a-4p (with an hour break for lunch) covers a wide range of topics to ensure the participants complete the course with all of the tools necessary to be safe and successful babysitters!
Topics Include:
- Safety (Personal and Child Safety)
- First Aid & CPR Certification (includes a BooBoo Bunny craft)
- Child Development
- Child Nutrition
- Age Appropriate Entertainment
- The Business of Babysitting (youth will leave with 10 printed posters on cardstock for advertising using Canva)
Youth will need to provide their own lunch each day.
How to Pass the Class
In order to pass this training and receive their certificate, youth must pass their CPR Training as well as attend all classes(Mon. - Fri.) and present their own Babysitter’s Magic Bag to the class. Information on the Magic Bag and final project will be discussed on the first day of class.
Sessions & Cost
- June 15-19, 2026 (Frankfort, MI)
The cost for each session is $25 per youth. This covers the filing costs of their CPR Certifications which are delivered via email to the youth directly and are valid for 3 years. The $25 can be paid via cash or check, payable directly to the CPR Instructor.
