About

Join us for an evening filled with croaks, trills, and splashes from some of our favorite frog friends. The evening will kickoff with a brief introduction to frog calls followed by a hike to various habitats including forests, vernal ponds and wetlands. The hike will include multiple stations spread over approximately 1 mile of uneven terrain.

Speakers will include:

  • Alexa Warwick, Assistant Professor, MSU Department of Fisheries and Wildlife
  • Paige Filice, Natural Resources Educator, MSU Extension

Frogs like it wet, so come prepared with appropriate, closed-toed footwear (waterproof shoes or boots are ideal). They also like to sing at night, so headlamps and/or flashlights may be useful. While all ages are welcome, this program will require walking off-trail and on old footpaths. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing. Food will not be provided.

Note: Space is limited and this event is typically at capacity. Register early to guarantee your spot.

If you have additional questions about this learning opportunity, please reach out to Paige Filice at filicepa@msu.edu.
