From marketing and communication to record keeping, goal setting, and understanding break-even points, each session equips participants with the skills to maximize their market potential.   •  April 21 - Goal-Getters

Learn how to set SMART goals to enhance your livestock marketing success. This session will equip youth with practical strategies to develop a goal, stay focused, and achieve it. This approach allows you to track progress, stay focused, and successfully prepare their animals for events like county fairs.

  • April 28 - Talk the Talk


Effective communication is key to successfully selling livestock. This session covers tools and techniques to connect with buyers, convey product value, and empower youth with practical tips for impactful auctions and markets.

  • May 5- Marketing Mastery

In this interactive session, participants will learn how to effectively market projects to potential buyers and the community. Identifying the target market and having a marketing plan is crucial for success. We’ll delve into the 5 P’s of marketing and explore innovative strategies to elevate your outreach. By the end of the class, youth will have practical tools and techniques to promote their projects successfully, enhance their sales, and build valuable connections in their industry.  

  • May 12 - Records to Riches

Learn how to keep track of what you spend and earn so you can make smart choices for your project. Discover the power of record keeping and learn how to calculate your break-even point to make smarter decisions in livestock marketing. This session equips youth with practical tools to track expenses, set goals, and ensure their projects are profitable and rewarding.

  • May 19 - From the Pitch to the Payment

Communication and outreach are important methods to recruit buyers for your market livestock project. Learn the skills to confidently connect with potential buyers, showcase your hard work, and leave a lasting impression. Discover how to use social media platforms to promote your market animal project, reach a wider audience, and share your progress.
